Malignant Transformation

The Story.

An internal R&D project at BK SciViz, this short animation was built to stress-test the capabilities of a new tissue growth solver built in our lab. This custom physics solver enables artistically-directed animation while combining the power of soft body physics simulation to deliver organic, believable, and tightly controllable tissue dynamics. We harnessed this technology to craft an ominous cinematic of the earliest stages of malignant transformation, where an epithelial cell begins to proliferate beyond control.
